EVENT OVERVIEW
The session will cover recent technical changes to accounting standards under IFRS and a consideration of changes to the UK. Depending on what changes occur, the session may focus on lease accounting and the future of UK reporting will be a key topic for consideration following the introduction of FRS 102.

Helen Kerrigan
Helen qualified with KPMG in 2001. During her time at KPMG, she audited clients in the retail sector, worked as a forensic accountant on an international project and enjoyed a secondment to Walmart’s commercial finance team, where she focused on budgeting and analysis.
On secondment to KPMG’s learning and development team Helen discovered a love of training and had the opportunity to develop her expertise in this area. Since 2001 her career has focused exclusively on training. Helen regularly trains accountants working towards qualified status in the big four as well as small and medium-sized firms. Her expertise in this area includes training for examinations in audit, financial reporting and advanced tax.
Helen also delivers ‘finance for non-financial managers’ training to major commercial and investment banks. Graduate training is another core area of her experience and she has delivered graduate training and skills-based courses (communication and presentation skills) to her banking clients. Helen regularly designs and delivers technical update for accountants working in practice
