This month, Atuin.Cafe held its official launch party – welcoming occupiers and the wider Advanced Manufacturing Park community to AMP Technology Centre.
The launch party celebrated South Yorkshire’s engineering and advanced manufacturing community and introduced the new cafe and event space. Attendees were treated to savory and sweet treats freshly crafted by the cafe team. Event speakers included Paul Taylor from Creative Space Management, Ryan Sylvester from South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority and Tim O’Connell from Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council.
Widely recognised as a hub for innovation and business growth, AMP Technology Centre sits at the heart of the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District; a focal point for investment and economic growth in the region.
AMP Technology Centre opened its first building in 2006, two years after the AMRC opened its doors on the Advanced Manufacturing Park.
Current occupancy at AMP Technology Centre is 92% with an ongoing pipeline of enquiries. The Centre is home to around 30 occupiers across three buildings.
All tenants across the three buildings work in advanced manufacturing, engineering and technology. Proximity matters, and sector-clustering works because it encourages businesses to collaborate; supporting creativity and innovation through formal and informal channels. Opportunity sparks when you combine this with targeted business support from public and private sector partners and shared spaces that bring people together. Co-location leads to a stronger business community, localisation of supply chains and job creation, as well as the development of localised knowledge exchange networks.
Businesses based at AMP Technology Centre play an important role in South Yorkshire’s advanced manufacturing and engineering ecosystem and spaces like Atuin.Cafe, provide even greater opportunities to strengthen relationships, host visitors, and showcase the region’s world-class set of capabilities and assets.
Atuin.Cafe has transformed the space on the ground floor of AMP Technology Centre’s building one. The cafe team are providing great food and refreshments, dining experiences, and networking opportunities for both occupiers and the wider South Yorkshire innovation community.
