Metrology & measuring devices – “How long is a piece of string?” … 18th January

Technical lecture
18 January 2018 18:30 – 20:30
Limited Spaces

This lecture outlines the history of metrology, which is defined as the scientific study of measurement, from earliest times to the present day and covers the development of measuring instruments, tools and systems in use today.

It also leads to the standardisation of the units of measurement which now manifests itself in the production and interchangeability of engineering components on a global scale.

Speaker: David Vere FGTMA (Fellow of the Gauge and Tool Makers Association)
