Seminar Highlight
The scope of the conference will examine the potential of and challenges for new materials, manufacturing methods and structural forms in aerospace structures.
Almost every week, the aerospace community hears news about the potential of new materials such as graphene and new manufacturing methods such as additive layer manufacturing. However, we are still uncertain what the benefits of these methods will be and what limitations they will have.
Though friction stir welding has also been around for some time, how are the fatigue characteristics of components made from welded alloys of different types different from those made using other types of joining?
Why should you attend?
- Examine the potential of and challenges for new materials, manufacturing methods and structural forms in aerospace structures
- Network with leading experts from the structures and materials field
- Tour the AMRC to gain insight into the cutting edge methods in practice
