Image-based Solutions for Materials Characterisation 27th June

Introduction and Live Demo
Image-based Solutions for Materials Characterisation and Reverse Engineering

Date: Monday, June 27, 2016
Time: 12:00 – 2:00 pm
Location: AMP Technology Centre, Advanced Manufacturing Park, Brunel Way, Rotherham, UK     [Directions]

Who should attend

This technical seminar is aimed at all engineers and researchers interested in using 3D image data in their design, evaluation and testing process. We will demonstrate the ease of generating high fidelity models from different types of 3D image data, and will show the workflow of processing data for Materials Characterisation, Composites Analysis and Non Destructive Evaluation.

You will learn how to:

  • Visualise and process data from 3D imaging modalities at different scales (CT, microCT, FIB-SEM…)
  • Obtain measurements and statistics such as porosity, volume, fracture dimensions…
  • Calculate effective material properties of scanned samples
  • Directly export to all leading FE/CFD solvers, e.g. Comsol, Ansys, Abaqus…
  • Use Simpleware software in your industry field, for example Aerospace, Automotive, Materials, and Consumer Products

Registration

Pre-registration is required as places are limited. Registration will close Friday, June 24, 2016.
