Precision immersion cooling technology business Iceotope, joined AMP Technology Centre’s innovation community in April 2012, and in the last ten years they have grown from 12 staff to a team of 51.

Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) objectives are at the forefront of many organisations’ business goals amidst the transition to a low-carbon economy. Iceotope helps its customers become more sustainable by significantly reducing their energy and water consumption as well as reducing the cost of data centre design, build and operations. The company’s customers develop some of the most innovative and advanced technologies across industries such as healthcare, banking and retail.
In the last 18 months, Iceotope has been widely recognised for innovation with the Edge Computing Product of the Year DCS Award 2021, Data Centre Magazine Top 10 Most Innovative Cooling Companies, STL Partners 100 Edge Companies to Watch 2022, and most recently, Electrical Review and Data Centre Review Excellence Awards in London winning Data Centre Design & Build Product of the Year and Data Centre Cooling Product of the Year 2022. In July this year, Iceotope announced a successful funding round raising £30 million through a global investment syndicate led by a Singapore private equity firm; ABC Impact.

Outside of South Yorkshire, Iceotope are in the process of setting up and recruiting for a research lab in North Carolina, as well as growing their team on the ground in Singapore. And growth is set to continue from their base at AMP Technology Centre too as they continue their recruitment drive for engineers and move to an even bigger office taking over half the floor space of building two alongside two workshops and a separate lab space.
